What happens during an eye exam?

Dr. Cabrera will examine both the front and back of your eye. In order to examine the back part of the eye, dilating eye drops are administered which will make your vision blurry for 4 to 5 hours. If you have important reading to do after your eyes are dilated, please inform Dr. Cabrera who can assist you with reading glasses. Once these drops are placed, you will be asked to sit in the waiting room for 10 to 15 minutes prior to the exam of the back part of your eye.

At the end of your examination, Dr. Cabrera will discuss his findings and recommendations to you.
